Seattle's Peyton Siva on whether he's surprised Sacramento got to keep the #SacKings & friendship w/ Isaiah Thomas:
Siva suggested he was mildly surprised that the Kings stayed in Sacramento. But he's happy that the fans here in the capital region got to keep their team.
"Of course, I would love for Seattle to have a team," the former Louisville guard said. "It would've been sad for the fans of Sacramento if they lost the team. It kind of goes both ways. But you know, I think this is a great town. I got a chance to walk around it and it was nice."
Siva says his relationship with Kings' guard Isaiah Thomas dates back to their childhood. Though Thomas played at an older level than Siva, the two got know each other while playing AAU basketball. Two summers ago, Siva worked out with Celtics veteran Jason Terry and the Kings starting point guard.
"He actually texted me right before this workout and he's a really good friend," Siva said of Thomas.
