Bug report for DoNotCall.gov: number fields get tripped up too easily in Chrome and Safari.
I'm working on a piece about the federal Do Not Call registry, which required me to revisit the DoNotCall.gov site for the first time in years.
And at first, I was completely puzzled as to how I couldn't enter a number in either Chrome or Safari. In both browsers, unless I clicked to set the cursor at the very left of the number field, I'd have blank spaces before the digits I typed, I'd run out of room for the number--and I could not erase those opening blank spaces with the backspace key.
There's no such hangup in Firefox or Internet Explorer; wherever you click in the number field in those browsers, the cursor lands at the start of that space. Can we please get this fixed?
