Partial transcript: An emotional Andrea Bargnani angrily countered an Italian report this morning:
"Nobody is satisfied. Not me, not DeMar, not coach, nobody. That was my sentence pretty good answer to a pretty stupid question," said an irritated Bargnani.
"But I think it was an answer that makes a lot of sense. I’m not going to go over single crap that was in there, I just wanted to clarify for all you media guys that specific sentence. I’m going to have people look over it and take care of the other stuff, because I don’t think some people can afford to change my words like that, so I’m going to have people taking care of that.
(Not do another interview with them?) I’ll have lawyers take care of it, I’ll let you know, maybe in the future if I’m going to do another interview with them. I just wanted to clarify that one specific sentence that was all over the news, and made me feel really bad, especially for my teammates and my fans. But I’m not going to go over all of the crap, because that’s a shame for me also, to go over that stuff because it doesn’t make sense. I’m not going to answer to this kind of stuff that doesn’t make sense, I didn’t say that, so like, somebody accuses you of something you didn’t do are you going to what (talk about it) doesn’t make sense to me.
I’m not surprised (DC defended him) the guys in the locker room that know me, honestly, they were laughing about it with me and joking with me about it because they knew right away that was not true.
I think I owed some explanation to the people that don’t know me that way. It came out in a pretty bad way and I couldn’t do nothing about it. Just looked at it, hear about it, what can you do? I can only explain to you this morning and to the team. But again, I don’t owe any apologies because I did not say that."
