Lithuania's use of Jonas Valanciunas has been quite odd. He should have played more in qualifying and should be playing more now. Aside from being unable to stop Luis Scola (and really, Scola dominates everybody in international competition and is a power forward, not a centre), Valanciunas has been as good or better than the other options in the middle. It's perplexing as he is also the future face of the program. Have to think this coach won't be back and that with Lithuania all but out of it now, he'll have no choice but to play Valanciunas a whole lot more in the final games.
