Another Interesting Thought About Last Night's Debate

From my wife, easily the smarter political mind among the two of ours: ----------------------- What if Obama had answered all of Romney's lies by saying in a nice but strong way, there is the Mitt Romney who says things in public, and the MItt Romney behind closed doors. That could have been his theme. It could have been used non-stop to introduce Bain, 47%, tax dodges, Romney's various dishonesties about policy, his comment about only talking about income inequality in "quiet rooms," etc, and discredit him. Just a simple to understand theme. A willingness to impeach Romney's credibility with strength, not anger, take on his lies directly, and do it with a smile ---------------------- Yes, with an audience of 60 million, that would have been nice. But now onto the next round, and let's see if Romney can continue to use lies like it's his car elevator...
