Leeds United Supporters Trust unveil 'Time For Change' poster outside Elland Road. #LUFC
The Leeds United Supporters Trust have carefully considered their campaign to have Ken Bates relinquish his majority ownership of the club. In the past week they have both secured advertising space outside Elland Road to promote their cause, and published an analysis of the weaknesses in Leeds' accounts.
The Trust has sources involved in the negotiations between GFH Capital and Bates for a purchase of the club that was agreed in July but is still to be completed.
What is not clear is whether the Trust know who the ultimate beneficial owners of Leeds United will be if GFH Capital manage to complete. Or if they know how much those ultimate beneficial owners are prepared to invest in the club if the deal is completed.
Asked if they knew the answers to those two questions last week, the Trust declined to reply, stating that any information they could release would go to their members first.
