Graduate students at the University of Venice's Visual and Multimedia Communication Program designed this "Lullaby" quilt so that whoever has its twin can enjoy a sort of virtual embrace. When one person touches one of the quilts, the embedded LEDs produce patterns of light on its quilt-mate, wherever it is. The idea is that family members separated by distance can enjoy a form of loving touch.
