Ubuntu for phones: Looks nice, may be a little sluggish, not near shipping--but at least you can play with it now.
When I saw the mobile version of Ubuntu's Linux distribution (http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/phone) at CES, I was struck by how I was not allowed to touch the screen of the phone running a version of it. Here, you can actually play around with what's running on a phone and a tablet.
The interface looks well thought-out, with an app drawer on the left and a fixed search box at the top right. The CoverFlow-esque transitions from one item to another look sharp. Some applications, however, took a while to load or switch between.
But... wait for it... those of us in the United States probably won't see this on a shipping phone anytime soon. Like a lot of things here, this will debut in other markets first.
