The single weirdest thing I've seen at CES: Brainwave Cat Ears
Somehow, I missed the arrival of Necomimi's $99.95, brain-scanning headwear last summer, so my introduction to it came last night.
The small sensor pod you see on my forehead senses your neurons' electrical impulses; the ears then turn and wiggle in response.
The ears didn't move much at first, so the company rep suggested I envision things that made me happy. First I thought about baseball games at Nationals Park, and and the ears briefly stirred; I opened a photo of my family on my phone, and the ears wiggled.
I had to chuckle at that, which made the ears wiggle more; I realized their motors tickled my noggin, which induced further giggling, and it took tremendous effort to avoid falling over from laughter.
