"I didn't like cleaning dog poop." More Delmon Young on his recent community service in NYC.

"I didnt like cleaning up dog poop," Young said. "It was a dog park and people dont clean up after their dogs sometimes and were left to. A lot of times I just stared at it because it was too soupy. "That puts some perspective on things, too. Like unnecessary littering, finding syringes out there, cigarettes everywhere, beer cans and then the daily stuff that goes around. You start seeing the dogs everywhere and it makes you realize if you have a dog, clean up after it. "If I ever do decide to smoke cigarettes, throw it in the trash can. Don't litter. Being out there when it was 30 degrees and the wind was blowing, it makes you realize you need to make some good choices.
