If a picture is worth a thousand words, how much are words on a picture worth?

I tell students in my photography seminars, "your images should tell a story". So I'm always on the look out for apps that help tell a story and sometimes, the story might be helped along with words. "Photolettering" by House Industries is a free app that lets you overlay your photos with text, like many other apps (Over by Potluck is a good example) but with a focus on their expertise in typography.
