Contrary to a lot of opinions, Apple’s design problems aren’t skeuomorphic.

Counternotions makes the same point we at YML did soon after it happened - "The current meme of Ive coming on a white horse to rescue geeks in distress from Scott Forstallian skeuomorphism is wishfully hilarious." As much as we all love Sir Jonny, he's not omniscient and there's no guarantee he even has the skill set to make the changes many feel are needed. And Counternotions says, "It’s not known if Ive’s is a transitionary appointment necessitated by Scott Forstall’s departure or a harbinger of a longer term realignment of Apple design under a single umbrella."
